Usage

Service levels, subscription details, and overage policies

tl;dr Popmelt offers four usage tiers: Casual for light experimentation, Create for building custom taste models, Iterate for sampling websites, and Scale for teams with heavy parallel usage. All levels include unlimited connections and access to our public taste and pattern libraries.

Service levels

TierBandwidthCreateSamplePrice
CasualLight usage--Free
CreateModerate usage-$5/mo
IterateHeavy usage$20/mo
ScaleHeavy parallel usage$50/mo

Paid service levels are billed monthly, beginning on the day you subscribe. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. If you cancel, your service will run to the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds at this time, so we recommend starting with the most affordable plan that suits your needs and upgrading when necessary.

If you need usage beyond your service level's limit, you can enable usage-based spending in your account settings, along with a monthly overage budget cap. Once your service level limit is reached, we'll begin using your usage budget to cover additional usage until we hit your overage budget cap.

  • Create, sample, and use are billed at $0.50 per overage request
  • Search is billed at $0.05 per overage request
  • Connect and list do not count toward your service level limits or overage budget

Common questions

Can I try paid features before subscribing?

Not at this time. If you're not sure Popmelt is a good fit for you, start with Casual and upgrade when you're ready to start creating your own models.

Do unused limits roll over?

No. Service level limits reset daily for Casual members and monthly for paid members. Unused overage budget is not prepaid, and consequently also doesn't roll over.

Can I share my account with my team?

Not at this time, but you can share models you've created with your teammates (even if they're Casual members).

That said, stay tuned: we're working on team billing for a future release.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards through Stripe.

Is there a refund policy?

We do not offer refunds at this time. We recommend starting with the most affordable service level that suits your needs and upgrading when necessary.

Do you offer discounts for students or nonprofits?

Not currently, but we're open to it. Reach out to support@popmelt.com with details about your situation.
