Popmelt

Popmelt makes it easier to design software with AI. It runs inside your local React projects, passing in-app feedback to your AI with relevant context and a growing understanding of your design vision.

Ask your AI to install the package in your React project. Then double-tap Cmd on macOS or Ctrl on Windows and Linux on any screen in the app to open the Popmelt toolbar. Click an element you'd like to change (or learn more about), enter your note, and press Cmd/Ctrl+Enter to kick off a thread with your AI. You can stack as many threads as you like: Popmelt will make sure they don't step on each other.

Popmelt connects your browser and your AI to a growing repository of project knowledge stored locally in your codebase. When you start a thread, Popmelt passes the most relevant information to your AI so it can make the best decision possible; when you offer a correction, Popmelt helps your AI incorporate that guidance into future decisions so they get better and better over time.

Yes, Popmelt is completely free and designed to be token-efficient for frontier models. Your selected AI provider's usage costs still apply.

Popmelt is local-first and runs only in development. Your project data, annotations, conversations, decisions, model, and evals stay in your development environment; when you hand off work, the data is handled by the AI CLI and provider you selected.
