Getting started with Popmelt Talent

What are Talent?

Talent are aesthetic frameworks that help AI agents make good design decisions. They encode the best parts of design systems, component libraries, and design philosophies into a plug-and-play package built for AI, empowering agents to generate beautiful, consistent experiences on the first try.

Each Talent contains:

• Design Principles: Core aesthetic guidelines and style rules
• Visual Elements: Colors, typography, spacing, and motion specifications
• Components: Reusable UI patterns and component guidelines
• Imprint: Visual identity elements that define the overall aesthetic

Getting Started

To start using Popmelt with your development workflow:

1. Create Your Account

Sign up for a Popmelt account at popmelt.com using your Google or GitHub account.

2. Generate Your Secret Key

1. Navigate to your account settings
2. Go to the "Secret Keys" section
3. Generate a new secret key for API access
4. Keep this key secure - you'll need it to connect your development tools

3. Curate Your Talent

1. Browse the Talent Catalog for inspiration and ready-made Talent
2. Add Talent to your account to make them available for use

4. Connect Your Development Tools

Popmelt integrates with popular AI-powered development tools using the Model Context Protocol (MCP):

Replace YOUR_SECRET_KEY with your actual secret key from step 2.

5. Start Building

Once connected, your AI agent will have access to your Talent's aesthetic knowledge and will begin making thoughtful, consistent design decisions as you code.
